Demonstrating a skill
Vocational assessment asks students to show that they can perform required tasks and apply relevant knowledge. Depending on the unit, evidence can include a practical demonstration, project, workplace-style task, written response, or observation.
Check the setting
Some qualifications require assessment in a real or closely simulated workplace. Review the delivery and assessment information on the course page, then ask MPC where your practical work will take place and what equipment or site access you will need.
Plan ahead
Ask about the timetable, assessment schedule, safety induction, and any required clothing or equipment before your course begins. If you have prior training or work experience, ask how credit transfer or recognition of prior learning is assessed.
